Winton hurts Grove

Miami Commissioner Johnnie Winton has assumed the role of advocate for a Home Depot in Coconut Grove. Obviously Winton fears no backlash from the well-organized opposition movement.

Does Winton plan to run again? If so, will the voters in other parts of his district recognize the disfranchisement of Grove residents and business operators?

When the project is completed, let's designate the traffic snarl that results at Southwest 32nd Avenue and U.S. 1 as ``Winton's corner.''
