WE'VE STARTED TO WIN - LET'S FINISH
THE JOB!
BUT...... WE NEED YOUR HELP - WE CAN SEE
THE BOTTOM OF OUR WAR CHEST!
LAWYERS COST MONEY:
The Zoning Board voted Monday night 8-1
to grant the appeal filed by The Grove
First of the Special Class II permit
given to Home Depot.
The Zoning Board reiterated what we have
been saying for the past year and a half
-- it is not the design of the store, it
is the operation of the store. Home
Depot has proven themselves to be a bad neighbor.
Photos taken of the S.W. 8th St. taken
three days before the Village Council
meeting on June 6 show the disaster that
still exists at that location. The next
step is a Commission hearing.
Traffic is still a major issue and as
one of the zoning board members said -
you don't need a traffic study to tell
you what you already know - you just
have to get in your car and drive. You
know traffic is bad now and traffic will
be a lot worse if Home Depot comes to
Coconut Grove.
