WE ARE NOT DONE !!

To ALL The People that Love Our Coconut Grove and Our Unique Community:    

We will not negotiate. 

We will not go to the settlement table, and we do not want any type of Big Box in our Grove, PERIOD.

No matter what Disguise Home Depot wishes to cloak it in, i.e. the Key West look, it is still a big box with all its inherent problems. Congested Traffic, Crime, Toxic Materials, Lower Property Values and a LOWER QUALITY OF LIFE.

Our Commissioner, Johnny Winton, is not listening to us.  We have done everything we should do within our existing political framework - petitions, and unanimous resolutions from every civic group in the Grove and Condo Association.  The people that that live and work in the Grove have spoken. We intend to make our Commissioner in our district, Johnny Winton, all the Commissioners and Mayor Diaz listen to us and to act on our behalf to uphold our quality of life.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS NOW:  Next Thursday, April 28, 2005,  Thursday, April 28, 2005, at 8:00 a.m. we will rally at City Hall, 3500 Pan American Drive for the Second Reading of the NCD3 that Johnny Winton altered to make it easier for even more big boxes to come into the Grove at other C1 zoned sites, in addition to the old Kmart Site for Home Depot. We want all of you there at 8:00 a.m., everyone bring at least 5 people with you. Let's stand up together and let our elected officials know we are watching them closely, that we have not given up, and we are stronger than before!
