Dear Mayor Diaz:
   
The Coconut Grove Quality of Life Committee which groups home dwellers in Condominiums, Home Owner Associations, and individual residents, all interested in protecting our quality of life, address this correspondence to your attention in order to appeal to your community sensitivity to prevent the installation of the Home Depot on 40th Street, the site where K Mart previously operated. The installation of quality business and useful development which contribute to the sound growth of our neighborhood are always welcomed, yet allowing a Home Depot to overwhelm this thriving family sector will only bring a reduction in property values, generate a chaotic congestion of construction traffic and eliminate the Milan’s Supermarket, the only facility of its kind serving our community.
   
We would sincerely appreciate your consideration of the above observations in order to obtain your valuable support to prevent the installation of Home Depot in our area.
